House Extension Sheffield
Woodbuilt Developments
PREPARATIONS
The Customer first got in contact with us after reaching out after we were recommended by the architect who had drawn up the plans for her home extension.
She had the drawings and full consent, so it was time to start building her extension.
After visiting several times, we came up with a plan off action that would work around the majority of the hurdles whilst also working to a timeline that we were both happy and in agreeance with.
THE BUILD
She had opted for a single storey extension with a new kitchen and a dining area from our partner Yorkshire Kitchens Co. Alongside this she wanted a aluminium bifold door and skylight to open the space up.
The foundations were excavated, the drainage complete and the block walls were built.
Next it was the roof. We built the roof to include steel which would allow for the eventual knock through.
After the slate roof was on we then turned our attention to the renders.
The customer went with a silicone-based render in cream.
PROJECT NOTES
The project faced no huge hurdle apart from the usual oversized steel frame being hard to almost impossible to manoeuvre. This was especially difficult to do as no major equipment could get through the gaps.
Overall due to the clients extensive drawings and our solid action plan, all the works went smoothly and on budget.
